Organization

Javanon is a member club of the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (KYSA), which is recognized by the USYSA as the controlling authority for the development of youth soccer in the state of Kentucky.

Javanon Soccer Club is a non-profit organization, structured around the Board of Directors, the general manager, four coaching directors, and individual team coaches are central to the club's structure. Together they share responsibility for all player selections and placements. The Board of Directors consists of volunteer parents, the general manager, and coaching directors. The club administrator implements all administrative decisions and handles all Javanon communications.

Javanon Soccer Club fields boys and girls team in the following age groups:
Girls U-9 through U-19
Boys U-9 through U-19

TEAM
The organization of each team is structured around the coaching staff. Javanon coaches, unlike coaches in some clubs, are considered part of the Club support structure, and they may change teams from time to time to meet the overall Club needs. This "team of coaches" approach to soccer is a major asset of the Club. All Javanon coaches are here for the support of every Javanon team. For this reason, we use a club-wide coaching concept, applicable to all ages. Team play is a major objective, and individual players are trained within the team framework.

HEAD COACH
A head coach is appointed to each Javanon team. That coach has overall responsibility for the team, and he or she should be your first contact in the event of a problem. The coach is responsible for team discipline, player substitution, and game tactics. Other Javanon coaches may participate from time to time in your team's practices and games. The Javanon Soccer Club is proud of its coaches, and we have made every effort to provide your children with the best available teachers of the game. Always try to give the coach your support and assistance.

ASSISTANT COACH
It is desirable to have at least one assistant coach for each team. With younger teams, the player's attention span is so short that assistant coaches are essential if practice is to be significant.

TEAM MANAGERS
The team manager is an invaluable member of the team organization. At the Javanon level the team manager handles many of the administrative aspects of the team such as uniform orders, team telephone list, tournament travel plans, and other items. If you are interested in becoming a team manager, or assisting the team manager, please contact your coach.
